Upcycle chip bag into reusable bowl cover
Reuse these bowl covers until they wear out and save money on tin foil and cling rap. Hand wash and reuse. Do not use in microwave or in any heating device. When worn out, remove elastic for the next bowl cover you make.

It all starts with a empty bag =0).
Cut both ends off potato chip bag and cut up middle. Clean bag with soap and water and dry.

Pick out what bowl you need a cover for and invert it on bag .

Measure at least 2 inches from bowl all the way around. I recommend 3 if you want to reinforce by folding over edges.

Cut out.

You will need 3/8" elastic. You can find at Wal-Mart for .98 cents.

Sew elastic 1/4 inch from edge with a zig zag stich pulling and stretching on elastic as you go. Being careful not to rip bag while doing this. Remember if you want to reinforce, fold edges over and place elastic on top as you go.

It is not perfect but it does the job over and over again. Give yourself a pat on the back you are helping our environment by recycling and using less waste with this craft. Great job!
